  • SPONSORSHIP applications coming in Summer — due Friday, Nov 15Groups may have more than one sponsor. Charitree will include sponsors in PR/ads etc.


Set-up décor day : Thursday, Dec 5 ( Chetco Grange 10am – 7pm ) Also last day to drop-off Silent Raffle items.

Gala Night : Friday, Dec 6 ( Chetco Grange 5:30pm – 7:30pm )
Charitree Holiday Festival event : Saturday, Dec 7 ( Chetco Grange 11am – 4pm )


Mission Statement : ChariTree is a non-profit committee of the Brookings Area Council for the Arts that brings awareness of local non-profits and helps them to fundraise for their activities all while the community enjoys a holiday festival of trees.

Thank you for participating in the 2018 Charitree Holiday Festival event at the Chetco Grange. We hope you had a pleasant and profitable time.

Community Judges Awards :

* Santa Award : ( youth involvement ) = BHHS-Leadership { fundraiser for Katelyn’s Cause }

* Elves Award : ( creativity emphasized ) = Coastline Neighbors { butterfly theme }

* Best In Show : ( excellence in design ) = S.O. Kite Festival

* People’s Choice Award : popular vote by public who attend the event = B-H Garden Club

We will be sending next year’s applications out sometime in the summer.

Webfoot Weavers’ and Fiber Artists’ Guild

The goal of the Guild is to promote interest and improve skills in the fiber and textile arts, including but not limited to weaving, spinning, knitting, crochet, beading and quilting.

We have instructors in many of these fiber arts and we are available for demonstrations if your group in interested in learning more about these skills.

We want people to know that these activities have not disappeared and they are alive and well and gaining in popularity all over the country.

* B-H Lions Club selling home-made candy for Scholarship Fundraiser

* Coos-Curry Electric fundraiser for South Coast Humane Society, selling decorated wreaths

* Wally’s House selling Wally Bear raffle tickets

ChariTree at Chetco Grange

ALL 20 spots filled but we do have an “Alt-Wait-List” if someone cancels…2 groups are on that list, so let us know as soon as possible if your group can not decorate a tree.
PR Announcement : For articles, please let us know if you have a tree Sponsor or other Cause that your tree/wreath is auctioned off for.
Is your group selling items? Let us know so we can promote for your group…you may send pictures of selling items to post online website/Facebook page.

Thursday, Nov 29, 2018 : Set-up and Decorate trees ( 8am – 6pm )

All 20 non-profits joining 2018 ChariTree Holiday Festival : Set-up and Decorate trees. Trees will be delivered by Gold Beach Lumber at 8am…Non-Profits may help set-up at 8:30am…Decorate trees 10am-6pm…EACH group, please remember to bring a special ornament to place on the Chetco Grange tree. THANK YOU!


Friday, Nov 30, 2018 : Gala Potluck ( 5:30pm – 7:30pm )

All 20 non-profits joining 2018 ChariTree are invited to bring finger foods for potluck Gala event. Preview and vote for decorated trees. See who are the community judges favorites and presented awards…JUDGING at 10am.

Saturday, Dec 1, 2018 : ChariTree Holiday Festival (11am – 4pm )

Free Christmas Community Event! See all 20 decorated trees by local non-profits. Vote for your favorite tree and participate in the silent auctions. Lots of holiday shopping. Kids can visit with Santa and shop at the KASPER store (11am-3pm).

Donations Needed

2018 ChariTree Event needs donations :

* ChariTree Silent Raffle items. Proceeds go to next year’s event.

* Items to sell at KASPER (4H) gift store for kids to buy for family members. All proceeds go to KASPERdonation items such as : nice candles, vases, plush bears, dolls, music box, etc.

* Wrapping Paper & Tissue, Bows and Holiday Gift Bags in various sizes.

To donate:  Starting Thursday, September 27 the public can drop-off ChariTree and/or KASPER Store donations at the Chetco Grange in Harbor.

Drop box inside next to the kitchen or leave with Bill & Jay Miller at BJ’s Beach Dogs stand. Open Hours 11am-5pm Tuesday-Saturday
